Food Journal
I have accepted the challenge of documenting the food that I eat each day for a month. In this journal, I will be completely honest about what I eat. I try to eat healthy everyday and give my body what it needs to perform at a high level. I also have craving and enjoy eating things that are not good for my body, I refer to them as things that have no nutritional value. I will also comment on the challenges that I face as I attempt to eat mindfully each day.
Aug.01
Breakfast: 1/3 cup oatmeal, 1/8 cup raisins, 1 cup soya milk, 2 cups chai tea (no latte or sugar)
Snack: 1 banana
Lunch: eggs (1 egg and 2 whites), whole wheat pita pocket, cheese (low fat, medium cheddar), ½ cup cucumber, 1 carrot, 1 glass of apple juice
Snack: 1 cup Cherries
Supper: 1 potatoe, 1 med. Garden fresh salad, ½ of a salmon fillet, 2 pce.rye bread toasted, 1 glass of apple juice
Snack: 1 nectarine
Water: 4 litres
This first day seemed easy, I did not have any major cravings and managed to stay on track for the whole day.
