Sifu Brinker: Day One of Thirty One

Today is the first day of my commitment to document everything I eat for the month of August. I have been a little off today and as such so has been my diet.

For breakfast I had a single banana, not typical for me as I usually eat a bigger breakfast. I think my newly disrupted workout schedule, due to my tendonitis, has affected my cravings for a bigger meal. Or maybe it is just the nature of this project - I am more mindful of what I am eating.

I had been planning on going to a movie with my daughter this afternoon so I skipped my lunch in anticipation of popcorn. Our plans fell through so I never did eat a lunch.

Supper was a vegetable and tofu stir fry consisting of fresh broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts, and chow mein noodles. I added a little teriyaki sauce to liven up the tofu a bit.

Day one is in the books, we'll see how the month goes from here.

  1. I'll be keeping an eye on your meal skipping, it is totally not good for you, even if you are planning on having popcorn. You can have a light lunch and still have room for popcorn, well, at least that is what I do.
