Sherri Donohue: Day 1

Diet restriction: I have both dairy allergy and lactose intolerance so 100% dairy-free in every way, shape and form.
Dietary goal: at least 60% raw food intake

Breakfast:
Bowl of Raw steel cut oats with banana, slivered almonds, Gogi berries, maple syrup sugar, cocoa nibs, and bee pollen
Green smoothie of banana, mango, strawberries, nanking cherry juice (my trees), and spinach
Latte with almond milk
water

Snack:
Water with 2 drops Black Mica
Stopped myself at 10 Barhi dates with Brazil nuts. These are so good!

Lunch:
Ginormous plate of Tomato Lemon Basil sauce over red pepper strips and zucchini "noodles" (raw dish)
Water

Snack:
Corn flax chips with Mexican Homestyle salsa
Orange
Water

Supper:
Spaghetti with beef and mushroom Marinara sauce topped with Cheddar-style Daiya "Cheese" (dairy-free and soy-free)
Water

Product Review: in a dairy-free diet, cheese is a challenge to replace. Taste can be replaced, but not texture nor the ooey-gooeyness. Daiya (Canadian company) makes a line of "cheeses" that are diary, gluten, and soy free. The taste is good and the meltability is decent. I haven't tried it on pizza yet, but am going to. Homegrown Foods in Stony Plain carries Daiya cheese in both Cheddar and Mozzarella styles. Note: unfermented soy is the next food to be very aware of how not good it is for you
