This is the journal of Silent River Kung Fu's I Ho Chuan Team's Diet Tracking Project which will chronicle everything we eat during a chosen month. Our goal is to have each team member post at least once per day. This project will make us more mindful of what we are putting into our bodies on a daily basis and hopefully this awareness will translate into permanent positive lifestyle changes.

on track
Today is about staying on track. We've all made these wonderful plans and commitments to keep up with our numbers and yet it seems to still fall out of practise. I'm finding it hardest of all to re-start whenever I've missed days. Doing them first thing when I wake up has been the most effective for me so why haven't I been doing them? It's been a struggle I have no excuses to give just a lack of effort on my part. So I'm making time for meetings with sifu Brinker to help keep me on tract. plan review then take consistent action. I will be doing them after this blog. I can then say I have started my numbers again and be back on track. I'm excited about this years Pandamonium because I feel a much better understanding for the charities and knowing about them has made it easier to be excited about them. I am looking forward to getting the word out there again and maybe score a few sponsor in doing so. This way when pandamonium hits my numbers will be decent and not just about caching up. holidays
Ti's the season for Christmas. It is my favourite time of the year. I 've devoted many hours to making crafts for my tree. So much so I can decorate2 whole trees with my ornaments and still have left over. I love the beauty of it and the feel good feeling this season brings us all. I love the songs the movies the decorations. I am completely addicted to Christmas.I suppose it comes from all the good memories I've had growing up. I was blessed with a "normal" childhood so I enjoyed myself every year with Christmas joy. I've tried to maintain this good feeling throughout the year. On occasion I have been known to be singing carols in July or May. So I wanted to try and extend the joy to you all. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New year.

Oh coffee!
I drank a cup of coffee again today. Giving up coffee has been a lot harder than I thought it would be. I thought giving up MacDonalds was hard, but you have to drive there to get it. Coffee is everywhere and everyone serves it. I had a cup at my mother-in-laws today for breakfast. It was delicious. But my stomach hurt shortly after....bad sign. Tea doesn't seem to bother me. I'm trying to switch over, but it has been really hard. It's funny because if you would have asked me which was harder before all this started, I totally would have said MacDonalds.
Today I consumed: 3 pancakes, a piece of bacon, some macaroni and cheese, some butternut squash ravioli and some popcorn and a doughnut. I drank 3 glasses of water, 1 cup of coffee and 4 cups of tea.

Hot Pink (Sherri)
Sorry guys, it's the name of a smoothie. :) The original recipe is for a juice, but I add 1 to 2 cups of water for a smoothie instead. Feel free to add protein powder, blue-green algae, spinach, etc.
Hot Pink
1 medium beet peeled and chopped
1/2 fresh pineapple chopped with core
1/2 pint fresh strawberries, stems removed (rapsberries are also good)
1/2 inch or more of fresh ginger chopped
1 to 2 cups of water
Place in blender and blend until smooth.
Beets are loaded with folates and B complex vitamins and they also have a sweet taste.
A note is that if a red color is noticed in the toilet the next day, fear not, you and your system are working just fine. Beets have natural red food dye and that is what's coming through.
